Namık Kemal Museum
Namık Kemal was known to be one of the famous Turkish Poets. After his famous theater act ‘Yahut Silistre’ Namık Kemal was exiled to Cyprus and put in a dungeon for a while. Afterwards on 3rd of June 1876, Namık Kemal was forgiven by V. Murat of the Ottoman Empire and was sent back to Istanbul. Namık Kemal exile lasted for 38 months.
The building has a very wide range of historical artifacts found by archaeologists during period of time. They were found on the east side of the cathedral, and are now kept around the Namık Kemal Many historical monuments that have been uncovered by archaeologists in and around this building with ruins in a very large area. These artifacts are exhibited in the vicinity of the Namık Kemal Museum, located in the east of the palace.
